Chad Henderson was already legendary, having been perhaps the very first person to buy health insurance from the government’s brand new online health insurance exchange, HealthCare.gov. The legend quickly grew, as Henderson’s widely reported story changed and began to take on a “Manti Te’o’s girlfriend meets Milli Vanilli” vibe. Had he really purchased affordable health insurance for himself and his father? His dad wasn’t aware of that, but insisted his son hadn’t misled anyone.

Ahem.

That’s the thing about legends — they start out with a grain of truth and then grow and grow even after the legend has died (or gone on vacation). And thus was born #TheLegendOfChad.
